Wear Blue to Promote Child Abuse Awareness in Delaware!
Every April during Child Abuse Prevention Month, Prevent Child Abuse state chapters throughout the country band together on a designated day and Wear Blue as a visible commitment to support child abuse prevention month.
Friday April 17th is Wear Blue Day in Delaware!
In the spring of 1989, a grandmother from Virginia began the blue ribbon campaign as a tribute to her grandson, a three-year old who died at the hands of his mother’s abusive boyfriend. Since that time, concerned citizens all over the country have worn blue as a symbol of the need to prevent child abuse and neglect.
Prevent Child Abuse Delaware (PCAD) invites you to partner with us to help raise awareness about child abuse prevention by participating in Wear Blue Day 2015.
One person can make a difference, and it can start with you.
Wear Blue…invite your school, your friends, your family, and your entire office to Wear Blue, too.
Will you take a stand against child abuse and Wear Blue on April 17th?
Show your support for child abuse prevention…Wear Blue. Take a picture of yourself or your group wearing blue on Friday, April 17th and we may post it on our PCAD Facebook page.
Please email pictures to email@example.com.
