DElete Bullying
In 2012, the Delaware Bar Foundation built a website in coordination with many stakeholders in the arena of bullying prevention, a program designed to provide information about bullying prevention and what people are doing about it in Delaware.
DEletebullying.com provided information, helpful tools and useful links about bullying prevention in Delaware for teens, parents and educators. Resources were created to help teens and their families talk about bullying and how to handle it.
As of September 2017, Prevent Child Abuse Delaware has given this important information a permanent home, and incorporated the use of these materials into their mission of providing resources and training to make sure every child has a safe and nurturing childhood, free of abuse and neglect.

History
In October 2012, then Governor Jack Markell helped launch DEleteBullying.org, an online resource to highlight and support bullying prevention efforts in the First State. Created and funded by the Delaware Bar Foundation, this website provided information and helpful resources for children, parents and educators regarding how to address and prevent instances of bullying.
“The Delaware Bar Foundation has a broad mission to improve the administration of justice in Delaware, which includes educating the public about the rule of law. Delaware has bullying statutes, so creating a website that pulls together all of these resources into one convenient, easy-to-use website that is user-friendly and Delaware focused fit within the Foundation’s mission.”
In addition to the funding provided by the Delaware Bar Foundation, several other individuals, organizations and agencies were a part of its development, including: Dr. Julie Hubbard, an expert on bullying and the Director of the Clinical Science Doctoral Program in the Department of Psychology at the University of Delaware; Bob Martz, of the United Way; Jan Dalle Pazze and the Delaware Bullying Prevention Association; and the Delaware Departments of Justice, Education and Services for Children, Youth and Their Families.
In May 2017, the Delaware Bar Foundation reached out to PCAD in search of a permanent home where the DEletebullying.com resources could be utilized to meet its full potential. We are proud to partner with the Delaware Bar Foundation to continue to provide these valuable bullying resources to children, parents, and educators in Delaware. We are excited for this opportunity to reinforce our mission of providing resources and training to make sure every child has a safe and nurturing childhood, free of abuse and neglect. #partnersinprevention
