Because Every Childhood Deserves to Be Safe and Supported
About Prevent Child Abuse Delaware
Since 1972, Prevent Child Abuse America has led the national movement to stop child abuse and neglect before it begins. As Delaware’s state chapter, Prevent Child Abuse Delaware carries that mission forward by delivering science-based programs, training, and resources that help children, families, and communities thrive.
We believe every child in Delaware deserves a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment. Our work focuses on prevention—empowering adults with the knowledge and tools to protect children and promote healthy development today and for generations to come.
Impact
Reached 61% of eligible students across Delaware, delivering vital prevention education to over 37,000 students and nearly 2,000 adults.
Delivered 2,545 program sessions across 1,800 programs.
Partnered with 22 school districts and charter/private schools to serve over 39,000 individuals from Pre-K to 6th grade.
Trained over 700 adults through foster parent, community, and home visitor workshops—building safer, more supportive environments for kids.
Pinwheels of Possibility
Pinwheels of Possibility celebrates the limitless potential of children and families when communities come together to support them. As families face rising costs, heightened stress, and widening resource gaps, we’re proud to spotlight the power of early and ongoing support: when we invest in families, we create the conditions for children to grow up safe, supported, and full of possibility.
