Prevent Child Abuse Delaware Welcomes Anitza Guadarrama-Tiernan and Dr. Patricia Scott to Board of Directors

Prevent Child Abuse Delaware (PCAD) proudly announces the appointment of two distinguished professionals to its esteemed Board of Directors, Anitza Guadarrama-Tiernan and Dr. Patricia Scott. Their extensive backgrounds and commitment to child advocacy align seamlessly with the organization's mission. The addition of Guadarrama-Tiernan and Scott brings the total number of PCAD board members to fourteen (14).

Anitza Guadarrama-Tiernan, a dedicated advocate for child welfare, brings a wealth of experience and a strong educational foundation. Holding a Master of Social Work degree from Boston University (2001), Ms. Guadarrama-Tiernan's commitment to continuous learning is evident through various certifications and training. Her accomplishments include being a member of the senior leadership team overseeing Children’s Trust training efforts, a leadership role in the Massachusetts Legislative Task Force on the Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse, and the successful development and funding of child sexual abuse prevention programs.

Patricia Scott, Ed.D., currently the President of Archbishop John Carroll High School, brings a wealth of experience in Catholic education and child protection. In her role, she collaborates directly with the Board of Directors, school administration, faculty, staff, students, and the Carroll community. Dr. Scott's distinguished career includes serving as the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Grants for the Beau Biden Foundation and as the Principal for Saint Edmond’s Academy.

"Anitza's educational achievements and professional certifications underscore her dedication to the well-being of children,” said PCAD’s Executive Director, Claudine Wiant, JD. “Dr. Scott's leadership in education and child protection aligns perfectly with our mission. We are confident their expertise will greatly contribute to our organization's mission and are honored to have them join our Board of Directors."
