Brooke Ophardt is the newest Prevention Education Specialist at Prevent Child Abuse Delaware. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Women and Gender Studies from The College at Brockport, State University of New York, and a Master’s of Public Administration with a concentration in Gender-Based Violence from the University of Colorado Denver.
Her previous work includes providing administrative and outreach support for Planned Parenthood, and she has managed and facilitated the evidenced-based youth violence prevention program Coaching Boys Into Men (CBIM) throughout the state of Delaware. She has served on numerous committees and task forces, including FUTURES Without Violence’s CBIM National Advisory Council. Brooke’s passion for reproductive rights has led her to be published in the peer-reviewed feminist journal, Dissenting Voices with an article titled “Body Autonomy During Pregnancy: Where Did It Go?”
Originally from western New York, Brooke enjoys spending time with her spouse and two teenage daughters watching movies, playing board games, and spending time in nature.
