Kate Giannone–Ebaugh serves on the Board of Directors for Prevent Child Abuse Delaware as a dedicated and compassionate advocate for the well-being and safety of children and families. She is deeply committed to promoting awareness, education, and prevention efforts aimed at reducing the risk of child abuse and neglect across Delaware communities while strengthening support systems for families.
A lifelong Delaware resident, Kate grew up in Union Park Gardens, attended Padua Academy, and earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware. She later earned her master’s degree from Wilmington University, further strengthening her professional foundation.
Kate has devoted her career to public service, previously serving as a Probation Officer with both the Delaware Department of Corrections and the Delaware Department of Services for Children, Youth, and Their Families. She currently serves as the Community Outreach and Victim Services Coordinator for the Town of Smyrna and the Smyrna Police Department.
During her time with the Division of Youth Rehabilitative Services, Kate discovered her passion for public awareness and education, particularly on issues related to child exploitation, abuse, and neglect. She has since had the privilege to speak in communities throughout Delaware and remains committed to continuing this work for years to come.
Kate is an enthusiastic supporter of self-care, so outside of her professional role, she enjoys crocheting, reading, gardening, snuggling with her pups, and Jeep rides with her husband.
