Stacy McDevitt was born and raised in Delaware and holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Delaware. Following graduation, she served in the State of Delaware in multiple roles within the Department of Services for Children, Youth and Their Families (DSCYF) and the Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS). Stacy retired from State service in December 2025 after more than 20 years dedicated to child welfare.
After retiring, Stacy joined Prevent Child Abuse Delaware as a Prevention Education Specialist for Kent County. She brings extensive experience in child welfare and a deep commitment to protecting and supporting Delaware’s children. Throughout her career with the State of Delaware, Stacy was an active contributor to numerous teams and committees, including the Juvenile Anti-Trafficking Committee.
Outside of her professional work, Stacy enjoys spending time with her family and her two dogs. She is also an active board member for Children’s Theatre, Inc. in Dover, where her daughter is an active participant.
